From her start as a tech lawyer in 1995, Karen has been passionate about serving her clients and also buying and selling real estate. When you hire Karen as a real estate agent, you are benefiting from her 20-plus career as a lawyer working for demanding Fortune 500 and tech clients. She is a seasoned negotiator and a creative, tenacious problem solver.

Karen knows that to best serve and strategize with her clients, it is critical first to understand what personal and financial outcomes they seek in their home buying, selling, renting or investing experiences. A natural advocate for her clients, she believes success is when both buyer and seller on a transaction seek her continued advice and assistance in their real estate strategies, decisions and transactions.

Since 2001, Karen has worked and lived in the Coto de Caza and Rancho Santa Margarita communities, and has moved both up and down within Coto. She is deeply knowledgeable about these communities and other South Orange County markets. She is thrilled to be working as a full-time realtor with Bullock Russell Real Estate Services where she is supported by a team of support staff who are experts at every level of the transaction. The support of this team of experts ensures you will get effective and efficient service and Karen’s focus will be helping you meet your real estate goals.

During her legal career, Karen worked at top law firms in Silicon Valley and Orange County, where she handled complex matters for companies like Allergan, Amgen, Applied Medical, Callaway Golf, Nestle, Siemens, Sun Microsystems, Travelex, United Health and Verizon. She worked in-house at Applied Medical from 2003 to 2007, where she headed the contracts department, managed global litigation and handled many of the company’s local real estate acquisitions (she held a real estate broker license from 2005 to 2010). From 2007 to late 2009, Karen was a partner in the Irvine office of an Am Law 100 law firm before returning to Applied Medical in late 2009. During her tenure, Applied Medical grew from 300 to over 3,000 team members. Karen received her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Karen currently resides with her two sons, Charlie and Derek, in Coto de Caza. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking the trails of Coto, watching her sons play baseball and soccer, ocean swimming and learning to play golf.
